SPECIAL OFFER FOR OSBORNE CLUB OWNERS
Deposit any week with a check-in between 31 March and 21 October 2012 (Weeks14-43) in a property that sleeps 4 or more people and receive DOUBLE CREDITS. One credit must be used to book a holiday before 31 March 2013. The second credit will last for the usual 3 years.
Deposit a peak week with a check in between 14 July and 26 August 2012 (Weeks 29-35) in a property that sleeps 4 or more people and receive double credits, both valid for the full 3 years.
2012 AGM
Please note the Annual General Meetings of The Osborne Trust Company and The Osborne Club will be held in Torquay on Saturday 15 September 2012 (Week 38).
CLUB SERVICES
Rentals
The Osborne Club acts as agents for renting out apartments on behalf of owners. Owners wishing to rent out their apartment/week should inform the Club Office in writing. The Club charges owners commission, plus VAT at the current rate, for renting out an apartment/week, together with the electricity charge for that week.
Transfer of Deeds
As an Osborne owner you can transfer your apartment/week to another person, or you can add or delete a name on the membership deed. Please contact the Club Office for further details.
Sales
If you wish to sell an Osborne apartment/week, the Club can act as agents on your behalf. There is a short Resale form to complete, available from the Club Office. When the week is sold commission, plus VAT at the current rate, is deducted from the sales proceeds. Resale lists can be obtained from the Club Office. Availability is also shown on this website on the Timeshare page. All rental, transfer of deeds and sales instructions should be made in writing to the Club Office.
Club Newsletter
The Club sends a Newsletter to owners three times a year, usually in March, July/August and December. The March Newsletter contains advance notice of the AGM. The July/August Newsletter contains the AGM papers and the previous year's audited accounts. The December Newsletter contains the Management Fee invoice for January payment, Direct Debit letters for January and the budget for the following year. There is also a section for owners to advertise Resales, Rentals, Exchanges and Swops for a small charge. All correspondence dealing with the Newsletter should be sent direct to the Editor. The Newsletter is the only way to organise a Swop with another owner if you are unable to occupy your normal apartment/week but don't wish to miss your week at The Osborne.
Payment of Management Fees
Management Fees must be paid by 31 January each year. Payment can be made by Annual Direct Debit in January, or by Monthly Direct Debit starting in April each year for 10 months. There is a small additional administration charge for the monthly system. For owners of Weeks 1-5 the due date for paying the management fees is 1 January each year. There are late payment charges for failure to pay the management fees by the due date, plus an owner can forfeit membership rights for failing to pay the fees for two consecutive years. The Club Office will be pleased to answer any queries you may have about these services.
